LoVe Artes

In 1991, when I painted this, times were very unsettled. There was a lot of job losses, homes were being lost, and there was some Supreme Court decisions that didn't go, at least my way. Then there was a contest for a billboard, 10 x 40 feet, so I did this sketch as a protest. I didn't win, they chose an abstract design instead. However, I wound up with a piece of art. It's done in acrylics, its, I believe, 19 x 40 inches. It's got a little water damage, we barely rescued it from a flood.
