LoVe Artes

In 1998 we were having a conversation, between me and another friend, about World War 2. We had landed in the Philippines, so we hitchhiked a ride trying to get to Manila. So, we got to an intersection, and suddenly it was getting dark and there were no more cars, no more trucks. So we were isolated and lost in this forest, and there was a deep jungle, not a lot thicker than the painting. So, we huddled together, and all these weird noises through the night, finally dawn came and a truck picked us up and took us into Manila. But the memories of that night in the forest was very strong and I remember it today, so I painted the painting. I left out a lot of the trees because they'd be nothing but leaves otherwise. I did it oil on canvas, its 24 x 18.
