Sketched Meadow

The sketch for this painting isn't a regular sized sketch, its a full-sized sketch. Many times Vernon would create what he calls thumbnails, or small sketches of an idea he had for a painting, so he could remember them later. However, when an idea was vivid enough yet needed to be well planned for the final painting to be created, he went with a full-sized sketch, as is the case with 'Aspen Meadow'.
