This painting is a true showstopper, routinely compelling viewers to stop for a second and third look. Beyond the three prominent figures leading "The Rainbow", the composition is populated with hidden figures, partial forms, and faces concealed within the shifting clouds. These intricate details invite close study—offering a layer of hidden depth that only a high-quality print can fully reveal.

About this painting, Vernon stated...

I was flying back to Oklahoma one time years ago, and the pilot says, 'Look out the window on the left side. You'll see something that very few people see.'" And it was a rainbow, but it was in a complete circle.

'And he said all rainbows are in circles, but we only see parts of them since we're on the ground.'

So I put a little reflection on the clouds and says it's a light.

Well, you know, without nature, humans wouldn't be here. So, I try to tie nature and people together a lot.
